From Cotton Velvet to Polycotton - Upholstery Cleaning Kingsteignton TQ12
Every upholstery cleaning job begins with a careful inspection, and today was a perfect example of why that matters.
Our customer in Kingsteignton, TQ12, believed their suite was cotton velvet, which would require a very cautious cleaning approach. However, after carrying out a full fibre identification and construction assessment, we established that the suite was actually a cotton/polycotton fabric rather than velvet.
The suite had also been affected by cat urine, leaving noticeable yellow staining in several areas. Before starting work, we explained that while we would treat the contamination with professional urine neutralising and sanitising products, the staining might not completely disappear.
As always, it's better to under promise and over deliver.
Following treatment and extraction cleaning, the suite responded extremely well. The yellow staining reduced significantly, the contamination was neutralised, and we also left the customer with a small bottle of professional urine neutraliser together with instructions for future use should their cat decide to revisit the same area.
