Yesterday morning took MASTERCLEAN® to Newton Abbot, Devon, for another residential carpet cleaning appointment.

With our professional extraction equipment set up outside the property, the carpets were carefully cleaned as part of our normal thorough process, removing accumulated soil and leaving them fresh and ready for use again.

An Interesting Pure Wool Rug

The visit also gave us something rather different to bring back to our rug cleaning workshop.

Our customer asked us to take care of this striking black, grey and cream floral rug, which is made from pure wool.

Rather than attempting to clean a rug like this as an addition to the carpet cleaning inside the home, we've brought it back with us so it can be properly assessed and cleaned under controlled conditions.

That's particularly important with wool rugs, where fibre construction, dyes and the individual condition of the rug all need to be considered before deciding on the most appropriate cleaning process.

Once its initial inspection and testing are complete, we'll know exactly how we want to approach this one.
